Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood will be hosting a book release party and art show for Visual Abuse: Jim Blanchard’s Graphic Art 1982-2002— The opening reception and book signing will be Saturday, November 12, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, and the art show will be up until December 8— The show will focus on Rock Art artifacts including flyers, posters, and record covers—
Painting of actor Whitman Mayo, who played “Grady” on TV’s Sanford And Son— Acrylic on stretched canvas, 30” x 40”— This painting and more will be on the walls of Bellingham, Washington’s Redlight Bar until November 30, 2016—
I’ll have a selection of original drawings and paintings, as well as posters and prints on the hallowed walls of the La Luz De Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles from October 7 through October 30— Also in the show is Australian sculptor and artist Sonny King— I will be there for the Opening Night shindig on Friday, October 7 from 8:00 to 11:00 PM— I will also be there the following day, Saturday, October 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM for a book signing— Advanced copies of my new Fantagraphics hardcover VISUAL ABUSE will be available for purchase.
